Video Editing for the Flipped Classroom (Advanced)

Experience how a flipped lesson unfolds first hand, then discover video editing skills you can use for your own digital lesson! The Flipped Classroom is a teaching model where short video lectures are viewed by students at home before the class, and class time is then dedicated to discussion, exercises, and projects. This session will highlight the flipped classroom experience and then present a useful video editing tutorial using the LightWorks tech tool. Sarina Ziv graduated with honors from the University of Kansas with a degree in German Languages and Literatures. In 2010, she earned her Master’s degree in Business and International Studies. Sarina taught at the prestigious Sogang University in Seoul, South Korea before moving to Seattle with her family. She currently works with the Jewish Day School of Metropolitan Seattle as a 5th grade Jewish Studies teacher as well as the school’s Technology Integration Specialist.
