Creating User Friendly Digital Portfolios
Debbie Clement and Mary Grace Lentz
Participants will look at authentic ways to assess students by exploring the benefits of digital portfolios. We will learn to use Seesaw, which is one digital portfolio app that can be used in the classroom. Seesaw makes it easy for students and teachers to review progress and demonstrate growth. Seesaw can be used on iPads, Chromebooks, laptops or computers with Chrome or Firefox, and Android Devices. This session is designed for Pre k to 5th grade teachers.
Teachers should come to the session with a class list of student names, as well as an iPad or laptop. It is not mandatory, but highly recommended that teachers bring student work they would like to document. If iPads are going to be used, it would be helpful to have iTunes user account information so that Seesaw can be accessed. Please download Seesaw at https://www.seesaw.com/about
